Full moons and kiddie crack

January 19, 2011

My intention was to write about the connection between being unhappy and creativity (it’s negative) but I couldn’t find the quote I wanted to reference. It’s just been that kind of day. While looking for the quote, the Coffee Bean was taken hostage by a MASSIVE (at least 300, okay maybe 30 but they sounded like 300) group of tweens drinking kiddie crack and running amok. Just as I was about to put my head down on the table and give up, I found a post from happiness guru, Gretchen Rubin called 13 Tips for Dealing with a Really Lousy Day. Full moon, mercury in retrograde, obnoxious tweenagers, snow, sleet, hail, illness, injury, death, drama, chaos, they’re all distinctly draining. They hack away at our relational capacity. One day, when my creativity returns, I’ll write my own tips. For now, I hope you’re not having a lousy day but if you are or for the next one, check out Gretchen’s list. I’m combining 3 and 7 today, coffee dates beat TV every time.

I’m sorry to be the one to tell you this… the link doesn’t work.

However, I am having that day as well, so I’m googling the article tout de suite. Hope your day improves.

I’m not sure why but that made me laugh so hard! I ALWAYS check my links but not today. Thanks for the heads up, all fixed now. I do hope your day gets better.
